Vampire Vixens Of The Wehrmacht - come on, what's not to like?

I've given Wasted magazine a wide berth, as it always looked like the kind of tedious pro-drugs nonsense that just makes you want to stick forks in your eyes. However, tonight I chanced on this, which is a promo for a new comic strip within said magazine, and the artwork is so astonishing I wanted to share it with you. The little video, too, is an great piece of design. And Mr Alex Ronald, I salute you sir, you're an amazing artist.

Now, someone make a film of this, so I can report on it with a clear conscience!

Burke and Hare in comic form

Myebook - Burke and Hare - click here to open my ebook

What-ho. With the release of Pegg n' Serkis's less than wildly anticipated version of Flesh And The Fiends on the way, I thought I'd promote this graphic novel on the subject...

Ooh, Hammer horror comic strips

Whilst I was "researching" (eg nicking) a picture to illustrate the recent post about the Legend Of The Seven Golden Vampires CD, I came across this website, which publishes a few of those old Hammer comic strips from the 70s, none of which I've ever seen before. And rather accomplished they are, too...
The ones available for you to peruse at your leisure are:
Legend Of The Seven Golden Vampires
The Reptile
The Quatermass X-periment
And there are others.
Now, who says this blog is a pointless waste of mine and your time?

Absolute genius - a meeting of two 70s icons!

Sometimes something comes along that makes you think two things:

There are a lot of clever people out there;
and
They have too much time on their hands.

This is one of those things... a meeting of two of the finest products of the 70s - the wonderful Muppet Show, and the equally wonderful British horror film, The Wicker Man. Fantastic, although the sight of Miss Piggy with Britt Ekland's tits is a bit unnerving...
